YAS MARINA CIRCUIT - Yas Island, Abu Dhabi (2007)
In July 2007, H.E. Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak visited the Paul Ricard Circuit and was very impressed by its design. Therefore, he appointed Philippe Gurdjian to take control of the design and the implementation of the Abu Dhabi Circuit
By September 2007, Philippe Gurdjian has modified the entire project to create a unique circuit in the world. This achievement will be his biggest challenge. Its objective is to integrate an architectural circuit in the artistic and cultural extension of Saadiyat Island, which will see soon the most sophisticated art design like the “Louvre” created by Jean Nouvel, the “Guggenheim” by Frank Ghery and the “Maritime Museum” by Tadao Ando .
As CEO of Abu Dhabi Motorsport Management – ADMM, his mission was to develop the motorsports activities in the region, and to recruit a professional team to manage and to bring out this fabulous project.

BAHRAIN INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT – Sakhir, Bahrain (2004)
In January 2004, Philippe Gurdjian was appointed F1 Executive Consultant for the 1st 2004 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at the Bahrain International Circuit.
The event is due to be held on April 4th, 2004 at Sakhir, south of Manama, Bahrain’s Capital.
Philippe Gurdjian accompanied Bernie Ecclestone on an official visit to Bahrain on December 21st, 2003 and consequently was appointed to oversee the completion of the circuit construction to be ready for the venue on April 4th, 2004. A challenge for 100 days!!!
Indeed of the construction completion, he also has to set-up the general organisation of this first Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix and this new circuit.

PAUL RICARD HTTT – Le Castellet, France (2001)
In 1999, the Paul Ricard Circuit and the Castellet Airport were bought by Mr. Bernie Ecclestone, President of Formula One Management Ltd. Excelis SA was created to manage both entities and Philippe Gurdjian named as CEO. The following year, SAS Hotel of Castellet was created to build the Hotel du Castellet Resort *****
In April 2001, after having considered multiple projects to make this site an ultra- modern complex in harmony with the environment, the renovation started on the Circuit Paul Ricard and the old Le Castellet Airfield.
Today the Paul Ricard HTTT has become the world reference for circuits in terms of creativity, safety, innovation, service and communication.
In October 2005, The FIA Institute is officially appointing the Circuit Paul Ricard as the First Centre of Excellence for Motor Sport Safety. The Circuit was selected because of its high safety standards and its continual developments in this field.
On December 9, 2006, the “First Centre of Excellence” trophy was awarded to the Circuit Paul Ricard by the FIA. This distinction proves that the Circuit Paul Ricard is the safest track in the world, due to the efforts and the innovative ideas of Philippe GURDJIAN.

In June 1998, Bernie Ecclestone asks Philippe Gurdjian to control the construction of the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia in order to ensure that the circuit would be ready to host a F1 Grand Prix in 1999.
Philippe Gurdjian became the “F1 Executive Consultant” for Malaysian Airports Behrad (MAB), for the preparation and organization of the Malaysian Grand Prix in Sepang.
From March 1999, a real “race against time” started, to prepare the organization of the Malaysian Grand Prix. Philippe Gurdjian had to solve technical, human and cultural problems, in order to be ready for mid-October 1999. This was a hard task, but thanks to his experience and know-how, the First Malaysian Grand Prix was a real success.
